Dogs & Companions

Your dog retrieves the ducks you hunt. Match its retrieval speed to your route and never spend your coin reserve blindly.

What a dog does

When you hunt a duck, your dog retrieves it so you can sell it for coins. A faster dog shortens the gap between a successful shot and the coin payout — which means more hunts per session.

How to choose a dog

  1. Read the live retrieval speed on the dog's card.
  2. Confirm the unlock cost fits within the coins you can spare after a reserve.
  3. Test the new dog on your current route before committing to a long grind.
  4. Record one change at a time so you can attribute the speed-up to the right cause.

Why the reserve matters

Buying a dog can drain coins you may need for a weapon upgrade. Protecting a reserve keeps you out of dead ends where you can no longer afford the next visible upgrade.

Dog names and exact retrieval speeds can change with updates. Always re-read the live value before committing coins.
